The Quad Health and Fitness Club, found within Crowne Plaza Docklands are proud to announce the launch of its newly renovated fitness club, consisting of 3 new Spa treatment rooms, 2 new nail stations and a brand new fitness studio.
Set up on the 1st floor of the popular waterfront hotel, is perfect for people wanting to take care of their body and keep fit. The Spa service will be scheduled to open in early November 2013. When most 3 year olds were dragging their parents to Wimpy’s, Joanne was requesting afternoon tea at the most prestigious hotel in town... This taste for the finer things in life was just a glimpse of the future. Starting a law degree in sunny South Africa, Joanne started working in a hotel to fund her studies. Becoming more fascinated with hospitality, she began to realise that hotels was where she belonged. Forgoing a law degree, the journey in to the beautiful world of hotels began.
Securing one of five positions within the Carlton Hotel management program against 5,000 applicants was the first of many achievements to come. Spending three years immersing herself in every department of one of the finest hotels in Johannesburg, she was fortunate enough to host events for the charismatic Nelson Mandela, including his daughter’s wedding. As the South African president insisted on meeting and thanking the hotel team himself, Joanne took on this humble approach and applied it to her own management skills.

Crowne Plaza London - Docklands celebrated it's 10 year anniversary this month since first opening it's doors to the public in 2003.
The anniversary was truly a benchmark moment in the history of Crowne Plaza, and as it was our ‘tin’ anniversary celebration, no theme would fit better than the Wizard of Oz.
